CMSA (Calgary Minor Soccer Association) Program (U9)
At this level, the player enters our INITIATION phase:
Focus on Individual Growth:
Our programs prioritize the personal development of each player, ensuring they build confidence, self-esteem, and a passion for soccer.
Basic Principles of the Game:
We introduce the foundational principles of soccer, helping players understand the rules, positions, and basic strategies of the game.
Basic Psychological and Psychomotor Elements:
We incorporate elements that enhance both the psychological and physical aspects of the players. This includes developing motor skills, coordination, and mental resilience.
Objective:
Our primary goal is to capture the child’s interest and enthusiasm for soccer. We aim to educate and inspire them, fostering a lifelong love for the sport and encouraging regular physical activity.
Technique:
At this stage, we focus on motor games and global play rather than specific techniques. The emphasis is on enjoying the game and learning through play, without stressing on technical perfection.
Training Methods:
We believe that playing games is the most effective and enjoyable way for young players to learn and develop their skills. This approach ensures that each child is not only introduced to soccer in a fun and engaging way but also experiences comprehensive growth, both on and off the field.
